Hackamore Ranch is a small, family-owned operation raising pasture-raised Dorper lamb and American Wagyu cross beef on 1,000 acres. The ranch is run by Cody and Albina, who settled in Thorndale, TX in 2019 after years working overseas, and raise their animals from birth to plate with no middlemen or re-sellers. Cody was born and raised on the range in Texas, the son of a ranch manager who spent 15 years seeding native grasses, dividing pastures, and building the infrastructure the ranch runs on today. In addition to lamb and beef, we also offer tallow skincare products and bundles. Our animals freely roam the pastures and are raised in accordance with what the site describes as "mother nature's design."
All animals are raised without antibiotics, hormones, or animal by-products, and all feed is non-GMO. Lamb are Dorper-breed, pasture-raised on Texas grass from birth to plate. Beef cattle are an American Wagyu cross, pasture-raised on the ranch's native grasses. The 1,000-acre ranch's pastures are managed under regenerative agriculture principles, with the goal of building soil biodiversity and storing carbon. Cody's father spent the last 15 years of his life seeding Texas native grass and developing divided pastures and lake infrastructure to support the livestock operation.
