Retail farm stand selling pasture-raised meats, eggs, and local groceries from two Central Texas farms.
Bakery, smoked meats, and full bar restaurant from the team behind Odd Duck and Barley Swine, made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients.
Sour Duck Market is a restaurant and bakery opened in 2018 by the team behind Odd Duck and Barley Swine. We serve fresh baked goods, sandwiches, smoked meats, breakfast and brunch dishes, sustainable coffee, craft cocktails, and a full selection of beer and wine. The menu spans breakfast tacos, pastries, sourdough breads, pit-smoked proteins, burgers, and dinner entrees. All food is made from scratch, with offerings inspired by local farmers and purveyors. The space also functions as a large commissary kitchen supporting our sister restaurants, which allows us to run deeper in-house programs across bread, smoked meats, and cocktails. We are first come, first served with no reservation required.
Meats are smoked in a 1,000-gallon pit smoker. The flour used in our baked goods is milled locally, including flour from Barton Springs Mill. Our food and drink are inspired by local farmers and purveyors, and we commit to ethical sourcing. Named local and regional producers we work with include Ranger Cattle, 44 Farms, Richardson Farm, Windy Hill Farm, and K&S Seafood for proteins; Vital Farms, Honey Doe Farm & Creamery, Mill-King Market & Creamery, and Houston Dairymaids for dairy; Good Flow Honey and Texas Olive Ranch for pantry staples; and a wide range of local vegetable farms including Boggy Creek Farm, Urban Roots, and Eden East Farm, among many others. Eggs are sourced from local farms including LaBranza Farm, Happy Chick Farm, Milagro Farm, and Munkebo Farm.
