Foreign & Domestic is a chef-driven, farm-to-table restaurant founded in 2010 and now led by executive chefs Nathan Lemley and Sarah Heard. Our menu is foreign in style and domestically sourced, changing with the season, farm availability, and on the chef's whim. We offer a nightly nose-to-tail tasting menu for guests who appreciate whole animal usage, as well as dinner service Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday brunch. The restaurant is one of Austin's longest-operating farm-to-table concepts. In 2020 we welcomed a sister restaurant, Commerce Cafe, to the family. Chefs Nathan and Sarah build strong relationships with local farms and local non-profits, and take pride in developing the next generation of cooks.
Our menu is domestically sourced and changes based on season and farm availability. We practice nose-to-tail cooking, making full use of whole animals. Our wine program is aimed toward biodynamic, natural, small-production wines. Chefs Sarah Heard and Nathan Lemley maintain ongoing relationships with local farms, which directly shape what appears on the menu at any given time.
