Whole animal butcher shop and grocery stocking local Texas meat, organic produce, dairy, eggs, bread, seafood, and global dry goods
Antique-chic eatery in a historic building for thoughtfully sourced eclectic fare, plus groceries.
Hillside Farmacy is a husband-and-wife-owned New American bistro operating inside a lovingly restored Texas Historical Landmark — the former 1920s Hillside Drugstore, originally owned and operated by African American pharmacist Doc Young, whose family still owns the building. We serve brunch, lunch, and dinner with a seasonal menu that rotates alongside permanent favorites like the Big Brekkie, Mac & Cheese, and our Texas wagyu grass-fed beef burger. Our drinks menu includes house-made fountain sodas, locally roasted coffee, craft cocktails, Texas beers, and wine. We also offer recurring specials including a $25 Sunday Steak Dinner, a Wednesday $20 Old Fashioned Adult Happy Meal, and Happy Hour Wednesday through Friday. The space includes dog-friendly heated and cooled outdoor patios, a private wine room, and Ivy's Cocktail Garden.
We source our proteins from Texas ranchers and the Gulf Coast, and partner with named local vendors including Rosewood Ranch (grass-fed Texas beef), Goodflow Honey (Texas wildflower honey), Joe's Microgreens, Evergreen Chai, and locally roasted Proud Mary and Fara Coffee. Our menu is built around fresh, seasonal ingredients. We describe our approach as farm-to-table sourcing.
