Family-owned Wagyu beef farm with over 110 years of cattle ranching history in South Texas

Peeler Farms is a small, family-owned and operated Wagyu beef operation backed by more than 110 years of cattle ranching history. The farm raises Wagyu and Akaushi cattle, offering both grass-fed and grain-fed beef cuts. Marianna Peeler personally handles orders, and the entire Peeler family is involved in raising, processing, and packing the beef. All cattle are born into the herd, raised through finish, and harvested at the family's own USDA processing facility, Dean & Peeler Meatworks, located 7 miles from the farm. The beef is cut by their master butchers, packed to order, and delivered by the Peeler Farms team. Peeler Farms has been featured in Southern Living, Texas Monthly, and San Antonio Magazine.

Peeler Farms cattle are raised with no added hormones and no antibiotics ever. Cattle are born into the herd and raised with their mothers until weaning at around 8 months old, then introduced into a rotational grazing system. The Peelers describe themselves as 'grass farmers': pastures are planted with seasonal grasses for grazing and cut for hay in winter. In addition to native grass, livestock are fed grains specially formulated by an animal nutritionist and blended at the farm's own feed mill, using grains sourced from farmers within 150 miles of the farm. The date of birth, genetics, and all feeding information is documented for each animal's entire life, and the beef can be fully traced back to Peeler Farms. The farm does not purchase harvest-ready animals from outside breeders. Every person who comes in contact with the livestock is trained in animal handling under the guidance of industry expert Curt Pate, and a nose-to-tail approach is used to utilize the whole animal.
