From-scratch bakery serving bread, pastries, and breakfast & lunch from an outdoor garden space

Texas French Bread started in 1981 as a from-scratch bakery out of a family kitchen and has since served generations of customers with freshly baked breads, pastries, and desserts alongside a wholesale bakery program. Our sandwiches trace back to the meals bakers made for themselves during long overnight shifts in the early days, and many of those same recipes remain on our lunch menu today. After a devastating fire in January 2022 destroyed our historic building, we rebuilt our operation: we now bake in a commissary space and serve breakfast and lunch from a 1971 Airstream food trailer in our outdoor garden. We also appear at local farmers markets and offer catering and home delivery memberships.

All of our baked goods are made from scratch, by hand, using 100% organic grains. Great attention to detail in the baking process has been a stated part of our approach since the beginning.
